Important: Please make sure you go through Room Access control - General settings as well.

The integration between Clock PMS+ and Dormakaba enables you to streamline your operations and save time for your employees due to the convenient function to issue and encode key-cards directly through Clock PMS+. The flexibility of the integration allows you to control not only access to the room, but also access to common doors (e.g. main entrance; floor main door) or special zones (e.g. SPA or parking garage). Furthermore, you are able to control the times on the arrival and departure dates from/until keys will be active respectively.

Important: The integration supports the following products: Saflok 6000 and Ambiance

Important: A Clock IoT device is required for this integration and it must be connected to the same local (internet) network as the Saflok / Ambiance server.

The communication protocols used for the integrations are:

  • Saflok integration uses the SOAP protocol - Messenger PMS Web Service Interface Rev. 4 and should have it configured;
  • Ambiance integration uses the SOAP protocol Dormakaba web services / Ambiance PMS Web Service Interface

1. Access Clock PMS+ and navigate to section Settings->AppConnector->locate Saflok and activate it-> click button 'Settings' ->click on 'Saflok'.

2. Once the pop-up window is brought up, enter the respective information:

  • Active (1) - select once all configurations are completed.
  • API user (2) - select the Clock IoT device.
  • Server host (3) - enter the IP address of the Saflok Messenger PMS Web Service Interface server or Ambiance PMS Web Service Interface
  • Server port (4) - enter port of the Saflok Messenger PMS Web Service Interface server or Ambiance PMS Web Service Interface
  • Username (5) - user created in Saflok / Ambiance for the connection with the PMS+.
  • Password (6) - password for the user.

Enter the encoder/s details by clicking 'Add' under the section 'Room key Encoder'.

Important: USB encoders are not supported.

You will be presented with two fields to complete:

  • Name (1) - enter the name of the encoder. You will see this name within Clock PMS+. It can be very useful if you operate with many encoders as the name will assist you in distinguishing between them and selecting the correct one when you encode a card.
  • Identifier (2) - this is the ID of the encoder within the access control system. The encoder needs to be first added within their system and then add its ID here. We recommend that you keep the ID of the encoder short.

Mobile Keys

The integration with Saflok 6000 / Ambiance supports their mobile key functionality. To enable it, make sure you've made the necessary configurations in the Room Access control - General settings by enabling the mobile key support and selecting 'By mobile phone'.

When a Mobile phone is entered in the Mobile Key section when a key is issued, the mobile key issuing procedure is started. The following data is used to issue a mobile key:

  • Phone number of the recipient from Mobile phone;
  • GuestName - Instead of the whole value of guest_name, we only pass the value up to the first comma to be able to detect a match in BlueSky. In other words, you need to correctly enter guest names in the "Last Name, First Name Middle Name" format. With a name entered this way, we will submit Last Name!

This specificity comes from the fact that the mobile keys are served by the BlueSky mobile app in which the customer has an account and is validating Phone Number and Last Name! If the validation does not pass NO mobile key will be sent to the customer. For this an event is recorded in the Ambiance system in which a staff member can respond as needed!
