Introduction

The Client View is a convenient feature that allows waiters to load the guest's bill onto a tablet/device and leave it on the table for easy review. Once the bill is loaded, the system is locked, ensuring that guests cannot navigate back to the POS on the tablet, maintaining security and control over the process. Guests can review their charges, add a tip, and, if the bill is assigned to their hotel room, sign it digitally as proof of the room transfer. This signature is visible on both the digital and printed versions of the bill, providing a seamless and secure billing experience. This feature has proven to be an efficient and reliable tool for both guests and staff.

How does it work

With Room transfer

If the guest requests their bill to be transferred to their room:

  • On the bill closure page click the 'Select room' (or 'Select Company' if you need to transfer to Company/Event folio) option

  • Locate the booking either through the room number or guest details. The booking must be 'Checked-in' in the PMS.

  • Once you've found the booking, click the 'Client view' button.

  • Give the tablet to the guest.
  • The guest goes through 3 steps:
    • Bill review
    • Confirm total amount
    • Sign the bill
  • After the guest hands back the tablet, click the 'Back/login' and enter the User password to access the POS and return to the bill closure screen.

  •  Once you return to the POS, finalize the transfer with the blue 'Transfer' button.

Without Room transfer

  • On the bill closure page select the 'Client view' button.

  • the guest will go through the same steps, however, the signature step will be skipped.
  • once the guest hands back the device, return to the POS and finalize the bill with 'Cash' or 'Card'.
